300 ml bottle, as Budels Goudblond, Kölsch type, from Vinmonopolet Sandnes Kvadrat. ABV is 6%. Clear golden colour, moderate to small white head. Aroma of malts and dust, only a hint of floral hops. Citric mouthfeel. Flavour of malts and herbal hops, a hint of citrus, dry finish.

Pale golden colour with lively carbonation. Minimal head of foam. Fresh smell of malt, yeast and earthy hops. Taste of malty biscuit, earthy hops and citrus. Lots of flavours from the hops, but the sweetness is a bit too dominating for me. Pretty smooth and refreshing though.

300 ml bottle, at home. Poured into a tulip glass. ABV 6%.
Colour is light orange golden , with no activity in the glass and two fingers of soapy white head on top. Good retention, especially the remaining half of it. Light lacing around the glass.
On the aroma hops, alcohol, bit of bread and yeast.
Taste begins bitter and hoppy as it touches the tongue but becomes very malty on the finish, with lots of yeast flavour.
Medium body and carbonation, average dryness on the palate.
Overall, I can't say I wass too happy with it. Starts with a nice appearance and aroma but on the taste, which is the most importand for me, it disappoints.

I got this beer in a birthdaypresent from my buddy Andy. This is a typical Dutch beer from a smaller company in the south of Holland. Best before march 2012.
Poured in my Struise glass this beer looks ok. Nice decent three finger head which disappears after a while, leaving about half a finger head. Little carbonation.
I am smelling some citrus hops. Taste is average, not a very special beer but it is very drinkable on a hot day.

Budels gold blond ale, 33 cl. bottle.
Hallertauer and Saazer hops.
Golden colour. Clear with a thin head, modest carbonation on this sample.
Smell and taste are of mild soft bittersweetness. malts and floral and grassy hops work very well, actually. Some spice in it gives a bite.
Mouthfeel is good too: the bitter aftertaste and the sweet maltyness lasts pretty long, making it warming.
Good beer in this style.
