A lighter bodied IPA combines Pilsner and Vienna malts for a soft bitterness that allows the Nelson and Motueka hops to shine. Flavors and aroma of tropical fruits, crushed grape and lemon lime.

16oz can, tulip, canned 9/21/21.
The color is a very pretty, clear copper. It puts on a two to three finger rocky light hued head.
Sweet and juicy. Lots of white grape, candied mango, sweet onion. Some butterscotch once it warms.
It’s like a bag of tropical gummy candy. There’s definitely white grape, maybe some mango, but overall a blend of tropical flavors accented by that catty sweet onion-ness.
It’s got a very full, but not heavy, mouthfeel. Plenty of carbonation.
I really dig this, it’s got tons of flavor. I wouldn’t necessarily call it West Coast, but whatever, it’s good.

Can dated 2/16:
There's a good haze to this, not cloudy, with a large white head that leaves a fair amount of its outer edge upon the glass. There is a sweet fruit aroma to this - a mix of papaya and melon - along with some lighter coconut and unripe peach. A light shroud of herbs and evergreen might've been missed if I wasn't thinking about the west coast moniker.
The flavor starts with an herbal, grape leaf sort of bitterness atop the pilsner malts, a clean malt profile letting the hops come through in force. The hops in this case bring that grape leaf note I get from Nelson, and a reedy, almost coconut husk I get from Montueka. A lighter heft but with a hint more thickness than the weight would lead me to expect. There's just a little bit of nectarine and berry in the middle, followed by the return of an herbal, leaf-like bitterness in the end.
The nose has some fruity aspects in the nose, but the bulk of the flavors in the beer seems driven by the herbal, more bitter side of the hops.
