Can dated 3/16 (10 days):
Sports a body with a light but noticeable haze; head is voluminous on an aggressive pour, but with loosely connected bubbles. Spongy lacing is left splattered on the inside of the glass.
Nose is a mix of grain, mineral water, and a more light grassy to piney hops. Almost reminds me a little more of an APA with the grain aspect, but the hops are nicely nuanced. I missed the El Dorado until I searched for in and found a little sweet orange on the edges. There's also a funky, somewhat dank aspect to the nose.
The mineral aspect comes out up front, and the beer has a clean opening - like Ocelot used to make. That funky note from the nose is a little more up front in the taste, but also has more of a grapefruit slice aspect. Balanced with a bit of a grassy bitter lean in the back. A pretty easy straightforward IPA with old school leanings, though it could be a little more bitter to really hit the spot
