Can dated 3/16 (2wks):
Mostly clear golden color with a white head that sticks loosely to the glass but atop the body quite well.
Slightly candied grapefruit on the nose, there’s a new school impression to the nose even if the aromas aren’t necessarily floral or fruity, pretty strong initially. The grapefruit impression and malt sweetness last, though the latter diminishes eventually. In its place is a pithy, herbal, and slightly spicy hop profile forms.
Taste is similar, with the feel not being a little more sticky than I’d like. As the beer warms, the back end becomes better at distinguishing itself from the malts of the opening. Grapefruit pith bitters beyond the candied zest of the middle that held on longer in colder sips.
Little more balanced than I think of for a WC IPA (their marketing), but the flavors are in line. The bitterness doesn’t attack, but does seem to slowly wear down my palate as I sip this down.

From a 4-day-old can, pours a very clear medium gold. One finger of frothy white foam. Smell is a huge hit of hops: grapefruit, pine resin, and earthy, spicy herbs. Taste follows. Decent bitterness. Feel seems slightly undercarbed. Good beer.

16oz can, tulip,
Apricot colored viscose looking beer with sparse white head.
Fresh orange wedge, lemon zest, apricot. Juicy sweet hop nectar, but dry.
Ripe stone fruit, bitter orange, and papaya. Juicy up front transitioning to medium bitterness and medium dry finish.
Medium body and pretty sticky or viscose. Tight scrubbing carbonation.
It’s a decent juicy IPA, not quite a hardcore West Coast.
