We took a classic approach to this lager by using Bohemian Pilsner malt along with Saaz hops which lends a light malt backbone that compliments the herbal and spicy hop character. This beer is designed to be easy drinking, and refreshing. We brewed this with our good friends over at Dominion Wine and Beer

16oz can, tulip, canned 9/21/21.

I’m smacking my lips because this is a textbook pale gold with a tall white head that crackles satisfyingly.

Light pepper, grassy, and very floral. The pilsner peeks through the delicate sweetness and hops.

Lots of leafy hop flavor, a little spice, leading to a resinous bitter finish. The malt really takes a back seat, with just a hint of sweetness and not a lot of body.

The body really is thin, though the carbonation is nicely crisp.

It looks and smells great, and is still a nice lager for a hot day. Vibrissa has some talent when it comes to lagers.

The beer pours a foamy white head that dissipates at a moderate pace. The beer itself is aclear dark gold color that looks pretty nice.

The smell is delicious. It has a slightly burnt and sweet malt note with a sharp earthy grass hop note.

The taste is pretty good. It has a moderately strong bitter and earthy hop note that is good.

The feel is good. It has a light body with a bit of body to it. It's also slightly acidic and a dry with a dry finish.

Overall, a pretty good pilsner worth getting if you live in the area.

Much better view in a glass, there is a tall, fluffy head that sponges up, but doesn't fade too quickly. A lovely sheet of lacing forms as it falls and I drink Actually quite nice looking.

This beer has a slightly funky aroma - almost like a slight hint of skunk, but also cereal, harvest bread, and some dry grassy notes. It's more in line with Czech Pilsners than the tap version I tried (from a clear solo cup).

A little too clean on the opening initially, some toasted cracker notes joins before the grassy, spicy Saaz hops. Carbonation joins the hop note to give this beer some bite. Slightly metallic and even sulphuric aftertaste isn't off-putting at all despite the description.

Not getting any of the fruit note I got on tap, who knows why. It's also sitting firmly in the middle of the light side of heft, with a firm bitterness. I increased all my ratings for this beer, as it is a lot more like what I expected. I'll adjust further if this can turns out to be the outlier.

On tap:
Ok, I kinda like this clear amber brew with a sustaining head. It just doesn’t seem so much like many Czech Pilsners I’ve had before. It’s a little more toasty, little heavier, and a little more bitter. None of these are bad for my tastes, but might be for others.

Nose is toasted cereal, with a hint of fleshy fruit. The fruit seems to have an odd edge to it, which might be the spicy note I occasionally get a little more distinctly.

The malt side of the beer follows the nose, but might be providing some heft that pushes this towards medium. Moderate carbonation and a bit of spicy hops late in the taste. I’m between is where this gets a little weird with some crisp red delicious notes mixed with a hint of something akin to pine.

As a hoppy light amber lager, I’m enjoying this. Might have to side-by-side a Pilsner Urquell to see what I think.
