From a 6-day-old can, pours a brilliantly clear coppery gold. Big off-white head leaves ample lacing. Smell is a complex mix of fruit and resinous herbs. Strata hops seem to have a lot of complexity in a single-hop beer. Nice bitter finish, but nothing crazy. Another delicious West Coast IIPA from Vibrissa.

16oz can, tulip, canned 1/11/22.
Gold on the edges, copper in the middle, fluffy worn paper on top. Good clarity and lacing.
Fresh tangerine, orange pith, pineapple, very floral marijuana.
It’s sweet and intense initially. Flavors of candied orange, fresh tangerine, and juicy tropical fruit. It finishes dank with high bitterness and raw, smokey chili flavor.
Light body, medium-low carbonation, and a gritty bitter finish.
This is one of my first, if not my first, encounter with Strata hops. I always love to get a single hop glimpse of new hops. This one is good and interesting. It has a nice cannabis note and an interesting vegetal chili one.
