Brewed in the traditional English style, our interpretation is tailored to the old world low abv porters of the UK. A blend of dark malts gives way to big chocolate and caramel flavors along with hints of toffee and roast. All are sewn together before coating the palate. Keeping with tradition, the low alcohol and medium body make this beer delicious and sessionable!

To-the-top pour on tap didn’t leave much head; attempts to revive it brought a slow light brown fizz to the surface, but this faded fast. So a thin ring on a seemingly black, but actually dark chestnut brown upon closer inspection, obelisk is about it.
A sniff yields a rich roasted aroma, fresh coffee and high percentage dark chocolate. Malt comes through slightly, and warmth starts to bring about a dark nuttiness. There is a hint of mineral leaning towards metallic which isn’t out of line.
Starts bitter and dry, but slowly sheds the former a bit. Coffee and dark chocolate with much sweetness at all. Lingering roast almost becomes nutty, but I think I might be stretching for it. A little twinge of sourdough-esque twang in the end.
Pretty nice. I like these lower ABV styles by Vibrissa.
