Hazy matte yellow gold, with a nice amount of head and some lacing. The nose has a bit of a saison vibe - with some farmhouse hay and lemon with a hint of orchard fruit - really nice but sort of out of sync with expectations for the style. Taste is closer the expectations, with a medium light, slightly carbonated feel. There is a little bit of lemon and some unripe pear, but more light grain and a hint of hay and white pepper. All in all, it seems a mix of a table saison and a pilsner to me - interesting and enjoyable for me but maybe not what one would be looking for in a rice lager.
