12 ounce draft pour into a Willi Becher.
L: Dark brown, aggressive pour yields 2” of creamy thick tan foam, persistent and leaves sheethttps://www.craftworxtaproom.com/whats-on-tap lace.
S: Mild nose, clean lager aroma, rain water and hints of spice.
T: Fairly dry, roasted malt, mild earthy/woody bitterness, hints of baker’s chocolate and coffee.
F: Light-medium body, high-ish carbonation, crisp with an underlying creaminess.
O: Light enough for easy drinking, enough heft and flavor to be enjoyable.

Dark body, nearly black (but more mahogany as I see the edges each sip) with a huge tan head, taking me two pours to get the 16oz can into an 18oz glass. Nose has the impression of a coffee that has a berry flavor to it, backed by a dark chocolate scent.
Feel has moderate-plus carbonation and leans towards medium heft, but lacking a smoothness from the roasted malts. The coffee from the nose comes through, but with a woodsy bitterness added in.

Taster flight at Vibrissa. Black pour with a thin but persistent beige head. Roasty aroma, coffee, bitter Taste is roasty, dark chocolate, burnt toast. Smooth with appropriate mouth feel.

Poured into a small nonic glass.
Disappointing if you rate to style and are looking for a Dark Czech Lager. 3.25
A - First pour from the can had a huge tan fluffy head that filled half the glass. Second pour was about 2 fingers. But the head settles quickly to a thin solid layer. Beer pours black with maybe some red highlights. 4.0
S - Malty, biscuit, brown bread, minor sweetness, minor grassy hoppiness, faint coffee. 3.75
T - Roasted malts, slightly burnt and grassy bitterness, no sweetness, no spicy hops. No complexity. Too bitter in my opinion. Lacking what I expect to be a greater balance between the maltiness and the bitterness. 3.25
MF - Medium bodied. Sharp and bitter finish (fine for an IPA but not this style). No creaminess or smooth body. 3.25
