Can:
Nicely clear golden, on the darker side of that color - working towards amber. Head builds up off-white and fairly loose, falling pretty quickly. Nose has a little candied citrus vibe with some tropical fruit skin bitterness and a little leafiness. The nose isn't too strong for an IPA, but the aromas are familiar for the highlighted hop.
Clean opening and a fairly light feel for 7% - medium-minus. There's oddly an actual acidic spike in this beer that is more like actual tangerine than the impression of it. Beyond that is orange peel before the bitterness builds, which it does slowly. That fruit skin from the nose comes out with a bit of drying grass and a little sprinkle of white pepper spice.
The actual citrus flavor I am getting is a bit weird, but isn't off putting. The bitterness is nice, but a little bit on the light side for a more classic IPA. I was hoping Mosaic might get closer to the Citra version of this line, which I loved back when it was first released.
