A decent pils to enjoy with food, particularly lunch.
Looks start inviting with a pretty full foam, but it goes away too fast. Smells are mostly malt. At 12 IBU, this is not a traditional pils; but Tastes are balanced for malt-heads like me. My make-shift lunch stayed that way; but a really good beer improves average food is my philosophy. I believe Drachen Futter would let really good food perform.
Of the many, many (perhaps over-abundance) of breweries in southwest Michigan, 3 Blondes has one of the better stories. Three sisters bring their husbands into the deal and they open their brewpub less than two years ago. Their "About Us" page is particularly talkative, but the story is compelling in that this is their dream and they are making it work. The food menu seems particularly interesting and I think I'd like to stop by the next time I go visit my brother in Holland where I found this can of Drachen Futter.

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
