2019 version. Near black color. No light passes. Rim head and minor spots for lace.
Strong, darker cherry nose. Some solid alcohol smell. Reminiscent of a warmed brandy. Sweet.
Lots of semisweet chocolate at the beginning. Thin body with neutral carbonation. Lots of alcohol in the swallow. The beer also goes to the sweet in the swallow. Shorter aftertaste.

Lots of coffee and malt on the base. Palate is roasty but balanced with a subtle chocolate sweetness and low malt bitterness. Smooth drinker, good weight. Very impressed!
