Served in a shaker pint glass from a crowler filled at the Wolfden brewpub.
(I know why it's styled that way, but the name just makes me think I'm about to encounter a gaggle of laid-back Soviet leaders. Fun times)
Pours a clear garnet-russet topped by a finger of dark cream foam. The nose comprises caramel, biscuit, flowers, mild grass, light candied orange peel, and a touch of walnut. The taste brings in more of the same, the nut switching to cashew, and everything existing in a pleasant world of compromise. The body is a rather light medium, with a light moderate carbonation and a smooth feel. A very nice mild, something I could see drinking too many of during my eventual visit to Wolfden. Get more of this out there, people!
