Smooth but dry, silky yet biting, chocolate and latte, and a meal yet light. This porter is very dry without compromising on flavor. Perfect for the regular dark beer drinker as they're sure to want another.

Received a can from Mikexw on 11-4-23. No canning date; consumed 3-17-24. Cold stored since acquisition.

Beer poured dark brown with a beautiful off-white head.

Nose is of medium roasted malts and not much more beyond that after sitting outside the fridge for an hour.

Taste is a medium roasted malt base that gives a slight note of chocolate but is not close to being sweet. Hopping falls in line with the level of sweetness finishing balanced.

Mouthfeel is light to medium bodied and kind of smooth.

Overall a decent flavor but the body kind of lacked. Thanks for the opportunity to try Mike!

A: The beer is jet black in color. It poured with a quarter finger high beige colored head that left a patch of bubbles on the surface, a narrow collar around the edge, and some lacing down the sides of the glass.
S: Moderate aromas of dark and roasted malts are present in the nose.
T: The taste has flavors of roasted and burnt malts along with a moderate amount of bitterness.
M: It feels medium-bodied and a bit dry on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This porter isn't that difficult to drink but has a lot of roasted malty flavors and dryness in the mouthfeel.
