This beer started with a fairly typical Pilsner recipe of Pilsner malt and a touch of White Wheat malt. Then we used our house lager strain of yeast. While it was still active, we added a generous helping of pureed blueberries. Then a month later after lagering, we transferred the beer and added a small amount of blueberries to the bright tank. The result is a beautiful rose-colored beer with an aroma and flavor typical of a lager.

A: When held up to a bright light, the beer is relatively clear ruby red in color and has a slight amount of visible carbonation. It poured with a short off white head covering the surface that left a thin collar around the edge of the glass.
S: Light to moderate aromas of blueberries and wheat are present in the nose.
T: The taste has flavors of raw wheat along with underlying notes of blueberries.
M: It feels light- to medium-bodied and faintly creamy on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: I found the taste and drinkability of this beer to be a bit rough around the edges with the raw wheat, but the blueberries helped to soften up the taste to some degree.
