Had this on-tap at Carey's Brew House. This beer is a clear, deep, dark amber/ copper color with a somewhat off-white head that’s about 1/2 inch thick when first served to me that eventually settles to practically nothing. Just a slight trace of lacing. Aromas of bready, biscuity , slightly toasted caramel malt sweetness and also some toffee and Belgian candy sugar notes. Also notes of figs and plum. Not really any discernible hop aroma. The taste is pretty much exactly the same, with A somewhat toasted, biscuity, sweet caramel malt flavor along upfront followed by toffee and Belgian candy sugar sweetness that then followed by some dark fruit notes of figs and plum notes. No real discernible hop flavor as far as my palate is concerned. Has a crisp, slightly chewy and sticky and just slightly syrupy, medium bodied mouthfeel with moderate carbonation. Has a clean finish and sweet, slightly peppery after taste.
