This is the first review of this beer on this Next Glass owned database. It is also the first review I've ever done of a beer with limes smoked in mesquite. Beer poured into a 1974 Marquette jersey pint glass of the dark gold color. That was their first Final Four appearance (we're up to 3 now). Makes a substantial 1.25" white head. Aroma is less pilsner malt and more smoke and lime.
The taste doesn't reveal itself to be a pilsner (parent company lists this as the other pilsner category). Its still mostly a twangy lime and smoked wood taste being pushed. The lighter, crisper aspects of a pilsner grain and bigger carbonation feel are lost in the mouthfeel. Its a unique take on things.
Yet another beer added to this Next Glass owned database. You used to get certain points for adding a beer. Sometimes the bias shines through when change occurs. One need not speculate in regards to the missteps made and subsequent change of hands. The hotter the weather, the better this beer seemed.
