Thanks hophound.
Deep brown in color. Mocha colored head starts of decent but quickly fades. Minimal lacing.
Nose has a sweet range that moves between chocolate and sugary cream. At times a smooth roastiness comes through as well.
Taste is definitely on the sweeter side. Milk chocolate and a heavy handed drop of confectioners sugar in whipping cream comes to mind. I guess that's in the direction they are going for considering the description on the can referencing "Oreo" cookies. But I didn't get that. Seems to have the components, but didn't come together with the result.
Mouthfeel is a tad thin for a pastry stout.
Overall, not a flop but nothing to write home about.

Review: Overall somewhat disappointed in this imperial pastry stout, though apparently a good market for it since they quickly ran out. Don't feel that Bosque was able to recreate the chocolate and cream flavors of an Oreo, and the beer veered from being at times too sweet to not balanced between the sweet and roasty sides.
Description per can: "Royally stuffed: There's nothing quite so satisfying (and delicious) as twisting off the top of an Oreo and dunking it in cold milk. Now you can indulge your inner child with Bosque's new imperial pastry stout, Royally Stuffed. The big chocolate flavors and creaminess derived from lactose sugar are reminiscent of everyone's favorite cream-filled chocolate sandwich cookies. So whether you dunk, twisst, or lick, this rich and roasty beer is the perfect sweet treat for adult sensibilities."
