i love the packaging on this, appreciate a good shandy this time of year, and frankly had way higher hopes for this, very disappointing, some quality issues here, and in the end the packaging is far better than the liquid unfortunately. the base beer seems more or less okay, a light and nondescript yellow beer, could be a lager, has some crispness to it, off from fresh but not poorly fermented or anything, really light on the grain side, that element is lost for sure in nose and taste to the lemonade addition, which they call fresh squeezed but i dont think it is, or else its old enough to have decayed into something almost unrecognizable from lemons and sugar. its both sharp and sweet at the same time, but its different, almost chemical, perfumed in the aroma, somewhat bitter in the flavor, lemon candy or melted from concentrate popsicles or frozen juice cans, acidic and metallic at the same time, aluminum, rock candy, wood polish, the lemon part is just so weird. its not the base beer that presents as cheap its the lemonade part, which feels like the easy part does it not? disappointingly not clean or brisk or refreshing, thin feeling and twangy, breaking down some it seems, tin and coriander and oxidation, melting plastic, stays on the palate a long while in its most unpleasant form too. not for me...
