A dark ruby red color on the pour with a frothy white head and semi clarity. The nose is decently fragrant with malts, and candied fruit notes. That tone carries over to the first few sips and hits with a mesh of malt and dried fruit. I'm getting flavors of berry, nutmeg, cinnamon, and caramel. The notes don't really pop out there and tend to drink a tad muted and dry. A light/moderate mouth feel that carries a rather light body especially for a beer intended for winter- even a bit watery at times. A definite chalky/dirty flavor that seems to hit on the finish and makes the drinking a bit off-putting.

Overall, not my favorite offering.
