Canned 10/18/2020, it pours almost clear yellow color with a 2+ finger thick white foamy head that was packed with bubbles of all sizes, leaving minimal spotty lacing. Smells just hoppier than most macros, with grassy floral hops and a touch of lemon zest mixed in with the grains and husk.

Taste has more malty sweetness, hints of biscuit and more floral hops than the nose, but also brings the grass, lemon zest, husk and honey. It’s very thin and watery, but would make for a fine summer session brew.

Served on tap at North Fork Brewing Company in Riverhead, NY.
A: Pours a vitually clear, golden color with a modest, white, one finger head, rim retention, and sudsy lacing
S: Aromas hay, light grains, and pepper. Maybe a golden delicious apple note. Very nice nose on this.
T: Dry. Palate follows the nose closely. Very, very light bitterness.
M: Light bodied with light carbonation overall. Refreshing and nicely made.
O: Hold Me Closer is a crushable, German-style Pilsner.
