With the threat of snow looming, I turned to something a little out of season. Veil of Papaya is a New England IPA created by the folks at North Fork Brewing Company. It's marketed as an NEIPA with papaya and guava at 7% ABV. It pours a hazy straw with a white head. Papaya is all over the nose, I can smell it almost a foot away. The fruit is less pronounced in the taste, as the hops do say hello, but the name isn't a lie. The finish is a little off, but certainly not bad. My biggest complaint was the can foamed immediately upon opening, making a mess.

A: The beer is hazy yellow in color. It poured with a short white head that left a patch of bubbles on the surface and a thin collar around the edge of the glass.
S: Moderate aromas of papaya are present in the nose .
T: The taste is nearly a mirror image to the smell and has lots of flavors of papaya and some bits of guava.
M: It feels a bit more than light-bodied on the palate and has a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This beer has lots of aromas and flavors of papaya, so much that it doesn't really seem like an IPA.
