Perhaps brewed in the gluten-free style but certainly not make exclusively for the gluten-free contengency, Corporate Ladder brings a cherry smoothie option to those who do and don't like beer.
Bright blood red and fizzy with a short spritzy froth, Redrum, the vanilla and rum, double barrel aged verion kicks off with a spicy, sweet, fruity and tangy scent redolent of cherry puree, red wine and holiday spice. Sweeter in taste, a sense of slushy shows up with flavors of taffy, cherry glaze, pie filling and wine spritzer.
As the flavors shift toward the middle palate, the more tart flavors of white grape, green apple, lemon and lime simmer just below the cherry fruit additions, and wait in anticipation of a spicy balance of peppercorn, cinnamon and booze to offset some of its pesky sweetness. Soothed with the flavor of vanilla, a creamy and smoothie-like taste keeps the session grounded and soothing.
Full bodied for most sour ale, this gluten free session finishes sweet with cherry soda, spicy with chloroseptic and lozenges, and soothing with vanilla and chai.
