16oz can from brewery. Clear golden pour with a high airy head, spotty lacing. I had it as a sample on my taster flight at the brewery, and it was the best of the flight, so I bought some to go home. I knew it was going to be special. Aroma is biscuity, grainy, clean. Taste is bready and smooth, minor sweetness and the smallest hint of hops. It is so smooth and so delicious. I wish I had bought more.

Beautiful crisp golden body topped by a sticky white head that billows generously before slowly settling down to some light fluff and cobwebs in the corners.
The nose is as you would expect: some honey and biscuity malts laid in under grassy and earthy hops. It smells divine.
The flavour isn't quite as strong as the first two elements, but it's still decent. It just doesn't have the depth or richness that the nose promised. It's all high notes... the hops turn vegetal and almost a bit medicinal. The malts come across paper thin. This is not the beer I was smelling, I'm actually somewhat perplexed.
The finish carries that high bitter note and lingers with a lot of oily citrus pith.
I was smitten with this beer until I really started to drink it and then it became a probable one and done for me.
What a roller coaster.

Clear yellow amber brew with adequate foam in the chalice. Lovely aroma of alfalfa and flowery weeds. Sudsy and mellow on the tongue. Crackery taste with a lemony finish. Bitterness is quite mild but enough for the hoppy kiss.
Overall, this is one of the better Pilsners I've had in a long time. It's so clean and restrained. Or maybe the German style is more noted for hop abuses. Anyway, it's eager to please. From the 500 ml

without question a well made pils here, but its a little heavier than i want it to be most of the year, but especially on their patio during this record heat wave, my car said it was 118 degrees when we were here, and there was almost no wind, an oddity for this town, felt like the end of the world and crisp as this might seem in normal conditions, it seemed malty and full bodied in this peculiar context. not a knock against an objectively excellent beer, not at all. this is perfectly proportioned, on the dry side, and fully european to me in grain, yeast, and hops, really authentic and good, and i love the high carbonation, it sings and it keeps this drinkable in such high heat. it even warms up well, which makes it right for the occasion too, no keeping a pint frosty more than a minute or so, so nice that it stays together well. the body is a little fuller than most so its not a pounder, and the hops have some lingering bitterness to finish, so it hangs on a minute too at the end. the overall quality here is predictably high from these guys, who basically do everything well, and its even distinct in this style. looking forward to having it again on literally any other day...

Side by side with the Urban Roots 12° pils.
A clear light orange, a shade darker than the Urban Roots version. The nose is soft, doughy, mildly grainy with a wet pils base malt note, a dusty, earthy, lemony hop character. Theres a hint of DMS, appropriately so, but otherwise, this is ridiculously clean. The palate opens bitter, earthy, lemony, a hair soapy. Snappy, crisp but with a lovely, light malt character. Drying, bitter on the finish. Light in body, crisply carbonated, mineral on the finish. Quite excellent.

500ml bottle served in a big pint snifter. If there's a date on it, I don't see it. Bought it a couple days ago at Full Throttle Bottles.
Pours crystal clear golden with a medium to large head that collapses to a chunky ring and a few clumpy islands. Smell is mild, lager yeast, slight grass and lemon.
Taste is moderate straw, some grain tea, fair bitterness that strikes me as mostly grassy.
Mouthfeel is is light, airy, not crisp but quite pleasing. Overall, I'm enjoying this beer quite a bit.

16.9oz bottle (no visible date) poured into 14oz teku. Poured a clean, clear, bright yellow color with 3/4 inch of white head that had good retention and decent lacing.
The aroma was fairly typical; earthy grains and grassy, floral hops.
Similar on the tongue, but the hops were brighter, and somewhat spicy.
The body was crisp, clean, and had a very dry finish.
Drinkability was very nice, one could easily knock back a couple.
Overall, a pretty nice example of the style. Worth trying if you see it.

Poured from 500mL bottle into a tulip; no packaging date on the bottle.
Appearance: clear body with a rich golden hue and a good effervescence; head is a thick finger of frothy white foam with good retention. Nice!
Smell: richly malty with just the right amount of lagery yeastiness and a dash of noble hops. This is a well-executed example of the style.
Taste: moderately sweet with a good maltiness and just a little bit of grassy hop character. Bitterness is low, but present, and smooth at that. Where a pilsner often shines is in its lack of flaws, and that is the case here.
Mouthfeel: medium body with a big carbonation and a surprisingly good creaminess; it's much more creamy than I usually associate with the style.
Overall: this beer is maximally drinkable. Man, I could see sitting down by the river and drinking these all night.

500ml bottle
Pours a big, two finger white head into my pilsner glass. Dissipates half way after a minute or two, but leaves a sturdy finger of head. Very creamy and fluffy looking. Initial lacing looks fantastic. Body is maybe just a hair darker than your standard straw yellow pilsner. Crystal clear, and loads of bubbles coming up. Looks fantastic so far.
Some sharp noble hops are coming through, mineral notes as well, very to-style. Really nice smooth undertones here, while I don’t mind a sharp pilsner, this is very nice how it’s cut by this smooth character. Maybe just a touch of darker than usual malts, ever so slightly biscuity, it’s minute, so it’s ok for now. Overall this smells fantastic, a little different and I think that will work on the flavor.
Hmm, solid base, but there are some extract-like sugars hitting in the finish that really shouldn’t be there. A touch of biscuit would be unorthodox, but I wouldn’t mind it. Random sugar on the other hand is not acceptable regardless. It’s very small, but it’s there. Makes for a not-as-clean-as-it-could-be pilsner. There rest of the flavor is quite subtle, some light hop notes. Overall the sweetness is a tad too high and there is not enough else going on to make up for it. It’s still pretty darn good all things considered, but too rough around the edges to be considered great. I’ll enjoy drinking this, it’s almost there, but not quite.
I’m releasing a lot of bubbles from nucleation, but this beer is getting flat pretty quick. Kinda what happens sometimes, but still disappointing. Mouthfeel is getting a little watery because of that. I’ll try to be generous on the mouthfeel because I don’t recall it starting that way. Bitterness is not offensive, sugars linger for maybe a second longer than they should, considering they are here in the first place.
The drinkability is obviously very high. Light, tasty beer.
The appearance turned out fantastic. Lacing all the way down the glass, and a half finger of head sticking with me all the way.
Overall this is a decent pilsner. It started to get even more sugar forward the flatter the beer got, but overall it wasn’t terrible, just sub optimal.
