Upon my first visit, August the 9th 2018, a Thursday afternoon...my dad greeted me as I came up the hill to the outdoor seating area. "Your'e gonna be disappointed" he said. I asked why, but deep down I knew why he said that. They were out of IPA!! Shit!( I said, but realized they still had the "New England style Pale ale". I came back around!
This APA is a super unfiltered and hazy golden color with white and orange highlights. Substantial white foamy goes back long way.
A seriously hoppy dominated nose perked me right up! Fruity pine tree's with a full-on grainy malty balance that is just spot-on.
The balance of earthy, grainy malt flavor and bigger than average hoppy complexity won the day. This was my third and last offering of the day, so my palate already had a decent work out but this one still left me feeling impressed with the level of hop complexity in this Pale.
As the light golden Malts support the big hop charecter I remember just how lucky I am to be living in New England as a BeerAdvocate.

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
