From a 16oz can, undated. Purchased at the brewery 07/16/22. Served in a ‘NH Pint Days’ pub glass.
Pours a dark oaken black, opaque in the glass, with a scant finger of fizzy suds. Retention is unremarkable, leaving a wispy cap and a thin, slippery sheet of lacing.
Nose is strong and clean. Robust roasted grain aroma, coffee nibs and fresh laundry.
Taste is roasty-bitter-dry, reminiscent of cold-brew coffee and root beer. There is a distinctly cream soda or cola-like quality. A pleasant burnt toast bitterness and nut butter aftertaste.
Feel is clean and crisp, moderately thin bodied with seltzer-like carbonation.
Overall, way tastier than I was expecting from 4.2% abv. In a blind tasting I would likely have pegged it as a cascadian.

Sample at the source.
Dark brown bordering on black with a decent sized long lasting tan head. Rich roasty maltiness with hint of chocolate and dark dried fruit. Earthy hops to counter. Pretty tasty Dry Stout
