Very hazy dark gold. Thinnish head white head.
Aroma is fresh, wildberries. Basil. Huckleberry jam. Cotton candy. Pepper. Just super complex. Lots of fresh basil and oregano. This is a difficult to break down aromatically.
Flavor is very Berry forward. For anyone familiar with summer in the American North West, this is very reminiscent of huckleberries. Black pepper as well. Orange rind. Flavor is not quite as impressive as the nose, but it isn't bad. Sweetness reminds me of some kind of sophisticated hard candy. Aftertaste gives a lot of spicy flavors. A light bitterness in the finish. Finished surprisingly dry. The more I drink, the more it opens up. Basil notes. Fresh herbs. Becomes a very refreshing and dangerous beer the more you drink it.
Mouth feel is surprisingly thin for the ABV. Maybe just a touch both of medium bodied.
Overall, a very nice beer. It took a bit to adjust, but eventually it won me over. Very satisfied with what this brewery has to offer.
