Poured on draft at the brewery.
Pours a cloudy yellow gold color with a finger of bright white head. The head is gone in a hurry, leaving a few random spots of lace as it goes. Eventually settles into a thin halo.
The aroma brings notes of banana chips and bready yeast. There's some very subtle hints of lemon zest and grass on the back end.
The taste has some tart lemon, banana, and yeast, before a wave of barnyard funk. The finish is grassy and hoppy.
The feel is medium-light bodied with moderate carbonation. Extremely oily with way too much booze present. The only knock on an otherwise solid beer.
Overall, a pretty good saison that is pretty straightforward for the style but definitely worth drinking.
