(12 oz can, canned on 02/24/21, 'Queen of Spring'; impulse buy of a cold six-pack... poured into comparatively too large 20 imp oz Belhaven pub pint)
L: puts up enough foam to reach the top of the glass (maybe the whole six pack was over-carbonated); pale, straw-amber liquid, mild-moderate haze... keeps a broken cap, spitty collar; little lace
S: coffee-scented butterscotch, vanilla creme (is this simulating a bourbon barrel character? re: 'whiskey flavoring')... subdued, simple, yet supple malt base in good balance with the flavorings/scentings... several smells before the first sip eventually picks up corn masa buried in the background
T: the coffee is right in the fore, but the base ale looms large; the 'whiskey flavoring' takes a big step back, maybe only in (vanilla-forward) highlights around the perimeter of the palate... the flavorings do give the impression of enhanced sweetness, lactose character is apparent, but the beer isn't necessarily notably sweet; the corn in the back lends a faint moonshine (spiced) note
F: smooth and light-bodied flight through the palate; the lactose may be what's providing a big silky round swell up front... bit of residual stickiness, lip-smacky even... but aft the rather dry, with arguably a perfect degree of mellow alcohol warmth
O: a couple cans in the sixer had sugary(?), brown residue around the seam where lid meets can; those two seemed to be gushers, so buyer beware... more than halfway through the sixer and it's a thoroughly enjoyable beer; yet to have a dud from them (1757)

Recommended by the staff at Wine Barrel in Maplewood. Had never heard of this brewery before but after having this beer I’ll be seeking more out. For a 4.7pct beer this has a ton of flavor and the right amount of coffee flavor. Nothing overpowering, it just hangs in the back of your palette as a reminder that this is a coffee cream ale.
Will buy this again, good stuff.
