Vancouver 26/7 2018. 65 cl bottle from High Point on E Hastings Street. Hectic looking guy having a bad trip on the label. Might be the Head Brewer.
Pours hazy pale yellow with medium-sized white head. Some yeast floating around. Settles as stable 2 cm thick layer of foam. Clinging to the side of the glass. Substantial lacing.
Aroma is little subdued due to the foam. Citrus, unripe berries, light funk and tiny bit of white sugar.
Light carbonation. Slightly thick, oily texture.
Flavor is lightly sweet followed by somewhat stronger citric sourness. Aftertaste is bitter sweet. The sour bitterness lingers. Finish is dry.
A Saison with a touch of lemonade sweetness. Not like a Classic Belgian but then again I can understand that the yeast is from Norway. But certainly worth the money.
