Poured into a Fremont small snifter. Pours a medium to dark reddish orange with a quarter finger white head that dissipates to sparse patches with light lacing. Aroma of dry caramel malt, rum, dark stone fruit and vanilla. Flavor is caramel malt, vanilla, toasted coconut, rum, dried plums and dates. Toasted caramel and dark fruit finish. Medium bodied with light to moderate creaminess. An interesting strong ale that leans towards a malty English barleywine, but with its own unique profile of coconut and rum. The toastiness of the coconut is quite evident and pleasant. Good dark fruit notes and nice rum barrel. Unique, warming and flavorful.

Love this brew!. First hits the tongue with a butteryness that persists throughout. Smooth mouthfeel but halfway thru turns bubbly alcohol. Herbal and chocolatey. Yum. Weak lacing and semi transparent hazelnut color.
