Enjoyed on tap at the source; poured into a standard pint glass
The employee that poured the beer said the coffee was doubled up in this batch (not bad news to me by any means)
31 ibu
P- clear deep gold/orange; small white head
N- sweet toasted malts cut by fresh, greenish coffee notes
T- excellent; sweet toasted malts, light grassiness/citrus, and a great coffee presence; simple and smooth
MF- medium-bodied w/ medium carb; suits the profile well
O- a well-executed coffee blonde; great flavor and drinkability; probably one of the best examples I've had (at least in recent memory); recommendable

a solid coffee blonde ale here, thank goodness too, because their snowmelt saison was rough and i didnt want to leave with a negative vibe about this place, which was funky and cool to hang out at but super hit or miss across the two brews i had time for while i was in. this is done with whole coffee beans apparently, so it stays pale, a touch hazy, and uniquely, a little hoppy in the nose, surprisingly compatible with the coffee, even enhancing. this tastes like it smells, earthy fresh coffee beans but not too darkly roasted as there is basically no bitterness to this at all and certainly no acidity, very smooth to drink. the base beer is light in flavor but not all that light in body, and i dont mind the substance, it gives this extra character and its still dry and bubbly so its an easy enough drinker. the coffee is there from start to finish, a little mellow citrus from the hops brings out some cocoa and caramel notes in the coffee beans, and the pale malt seems right, unifying and supporting. a much cleaner ferment than their saison thankfully, but short of crisp still. overall a clever brew with a great coffee profile, i like it not being overly roasty, more modern and nuanced that way, and easily the better of the two beers i had here.
