A solid offering from Hermann Brewing. This Maibock is similar in taste to many German Maibocks, as well as the one made by Capital Brewing in Wisconsin.
Appearance: Clear, very light amber with a minimal, white head, and little lacing.
Aroma: Sweet malt
Taste: Pretty much true to style light sweet malt somewhat balanced by noble hops. Nothing earth shaking, but then Maibock is not an earth shaking beer style. No suggestion of the possibility of elevated alcohol level is perceptible in the taste.
Mouthfeel: Smooth, appropriate (moderate) carbonation, medium-bodied.
Drinkability: Easy to drink one or two, but for me, not sufficiently interesting to be a session beer.
