Very thick and creamy, tan head. Clear, medium auburn color, with a bit of chestnut highlights. Light level of heavily caramelized, medium dark toasted barley malt, with a tiny spiced caramel tinge, for the aroma. Keep in mind, this is a 3.8% ABV mild ale, don't expect much body. Quite a mild flavor and light level of medium roasted wood and a hint of medium dark toasted, caramelized malt, which comes across as rather watery, compared to a regular English style brown ale, but this finishes well and delivers a refreshing dark beer flavor, suitable for chugging on a hot day.
