On tap at brewery:
Ok, the lacing has me conflicted against this muddled cider muddy-looking beer. Since body wins for “first sight” - looks get a hit.
Nose is a nice balance of a light-to-medium toasted grain bread and a bit of a citrus. The taste turns these impressions into reality. Toasted malt that reminds this old home brewer of brew day. It might be a tad husky, which adds a little premature bitterness, but that works for me. Citrus (tangerine) spikes and falls, leaving its pith that boils down towards pink, then white, then unripe grapefruit pith.
The lingering aspects are a tad dry/bitter, but the direct drinking experience seems to fit APA, especially the malt opening. I liked this beer for showing both.
