Roggenbier which translates to "rye beer" is what you might call a "winter Hefeweizen" with notes similar to it's relative but highlights a spiced malty character that pairs well with a crisp morning hike.

Cloudy brown color with a decent white head. The aroma is slightly spicy rye and caramel. The taste is slightly sour, spicy rye, cloves, bananas and caramel malt. The body is light, good level of carbonation, smooth but crisp and very drinkable. Altogether, this is a very interesting and tasty brew, although I must admit to being somewhat partial to rye. I think most will enjoy giving this a try.
