Birrificio Zapap "Rosaromana"
33 cl can; "DA CONSUMARSI PREFERIBILIMENTE ENTRO IL/LOTTO: 1/2026 L99/2024"
Sampled on 24 November 2025
Notes: Brewed with water, malted barley, oats, apple, and orange peel.
Look: A hazy golden body is capped by a short head of white foam. Both the head retention and lacing could be better, but it has a lower carbonation level which leads to that and is probably worth the trade-off for its softer mouthfeel.
Smell: Fruity like apple and fruit pulp, grainy, and mildly citrusy similar in a way to Bergamot. Some might even say that it's slightly like a perfumed bar of soap, but it's very light.
Taste: Sweetish and fruity with a clear note of orange and some apple. There is a little bit of an underlying spiciness that's like Bergamot. I'm not finding any hops, nor any real bitterness. It's a little like a sparkling glass of not-so-sweet juice.
Feel: Medium-light in body and gently crisp with a moderate, fine-bubbled carbonation.
Overall: Quite a charming, delicate beer.
