Had on-tap at Burning Barrel Brewing in Rancho Cordova, CA
Appearance - Served up in a tulip, crystal clear and golden yellow in color with a thin, broken layer if suds and a fair ring around the edge of the glass. Fair lacing, with a big patch of broken webbing on one side of the glass, and a few spots and lines elsewhere.
Smell - Malty sweetness. Slight grain. Very, very faint hop character.
Taste - Follows the nose. Sweet, slightly grainy maltiness. Very faint hops that hint at grassiness. Not much else. Slightly stale aftertaste.
Mouthfeel - Light in body. Fair carbonation. Slick, smooth and easy drinker with a crisp, semi-dry finish.
Overall - Very much in the mold of a classic American Pilsner. And while I don't very much care for it, I appreciate the skill it takes to craft a beer like this.
