Had on-tap at Burning Barrel Brewing in Rancho Cordova, CA
Appearance - Served up in an oversized tulip, somewhat clear and dark copper in color with a thin, consistent layer of surface suds. Good amount of lacing, with broken webbing, lines and spotting.
Smell - Fair malty sweetness with a hint of toast and mild floral character.
Taste - Follows the nose. Sweet maltiness upfront and then nuttiness and light toastiness. Faint touch of floral and citrus hop character in the finish. Aftertaste lingers with toasty notes once warmed.
Mouthfeel - Medium in body with fair, tingly carbonation. Drinks easy before a mostly dry finish.
Overall - Really solid, classic ESB. Nothing special, just well done.
