Canned 12/23/20

Appearance - Pours opaque and a bit of a mucky or terracotta red in color, with an off-white, half-finger width head that doesn't hold well, dying quickly to a mostly barren surface with a razor thin ring of suds around the edge of the glass. A few tiny specks for lacing, along with bits of sediment found on the glass.

Smell - Cherry and vanilla stand out on the nose, but also plenty of apple and cinnamon can be found just beneath.

Taste - Follows the nose. Cherry punches, first while a creamy vanilla finds itself layering the base for the rest of the flavor to bounce off of. Apple is certainly there, as is a nice touch of cinnamon as it rounds to the finish. That creamy vanilla genuinely gives off an 'a la mode' flavor to this brew, especially as it tapers off in the aftertaste.

Mouthfeel - Near full-bodied with low-to-moderate carbonation. Smooth, fairly creamy with bits of pulp that don't bother me (think medium pulp OJ). Entirely drinkable. One you might chug with ease with it weren't so damn delectable.

Overall - Solid fusion of their 'Jammer' and 'Oven' series. It's right up there with their boysenberry 'Jammer' and 'Oven' brews, and this doesn't even have boysenberry, which you might guess is a personal favorite. There's just a lot of balance in this beer. From the flavor profile, to the sweet vs tart, to the smooth body throughout. well done!
