From tasting notes 5/14/21
Had at Burning Barrel Brewing, poured from the can, in Rancho Cordova, CA
Appearance - Served up in a Belgian tulip, opaque and berry violet in color. Pink, half finger width head that dissipates in fair time, leaving a thin, broken layer of suds. Fair lacing, with broken webbing, lines and small spotting.
Smell - Tart, fruity aroma with notes of blackberry, cherry and plum. Almond. Vanilla. Cinnamon.
Taste - Follows the nose. Punchy, vibrant flavor profile, but with balance. Starts with tart, sweet notes of blackberry, and a touch of plum riding beneath. Definite cherry vibe. Notes of cinnamon, pie crust, and vanilla follow suit. Subtle sugary sweetness and a touch of earthy almond. Fruit, vanilla and almond linger in the finish.
Mouthfeel - Close to full in body with lively carbonation. Smooth, easy drinker before a dry finish.
Overall - Pretty tasty addition to the Fresh series. Compared to earlier versions, they seemingly threw everything but the kitchen sink into this one, but it still works harmoniously. Definitely one to drink again.
