an ipa with with some vienna malt in it, an interesting combination, and a really nice hop profile that is highly botanical, has notes of fresh lemon and lemon verbena, and has a cool elderflower sort of springy bitterness to it. i would totally love this beer if it didnt taste gross. its all chemical and messed up, not infected, but the fermentation is totally wrong, way to hot, done in tupperware or a home depot bucket, i dont know, but it tastes like cleaning agents, burning plastic, and sharp astringent tangy and phenolic weirdness. somebody should say something to these guys about this, i wish i had the heart, but this is undrinkable, and i had to leave my glass on the table, which is a real shame, because the beer is dry, has a little body and a little pep from that vienna malt, and the hop profile is lovely, they just have either a gross house yeast, or totally botched the ferment. beyond amateur in that regard. this was the worst of them in that respect, but most of the beers in here (curiously including their lager) had some of it going on. these guys need to go back to the drawing boards a little bit. a waste of a great hop profile and a clever grain bill...
