Although cask ESB-type beers are in general my absolute favourite, this one is not that impressive and is the weakest of the beers form the brewery I've had so far. I had a pint at The Allies Pub in Chico. It looks good, dark copper with a nice pale tan head. Aroma is pretty good, caramelly bread, with hints of wood and earth. Taste is light caramelized bread with light, almost lemony, sourness. Body is light. It's a bit light and thing for an ESB-type, and has a tinge of a basic homebrew character.
