Ocean Bluff is our Belgian inspired saison. Inherently local by style, we decided to keep it local when choosing the name Ocean Bluff. We sourced 100% of the grain bill from local maltster @stonepathmalt who are just a short drive down route 3 in Wareham.

Picked up a single can at Curtis Liquors in Cohasset, Massachusetts for about four dollars. My ninth brew reviewed from these guys. No canned on date that I can decipher. Just meh for me.

Pale yellow brew with a fast-dwindling white head. The nose is fruity, yeasty, and redolent of fresh grains. Carbonation level is agreeably high. Sweet and tart on the palate with interesting yeast characteristics. The already-appealing nose and palate reveal subtleties as the beer aerates. Complex and tasty.

Light golden color with a 3F head.
Aroma: not strong, some lemon, on the usual coriander or spice common on the style.
Nicely carbonated- not too much, just the right amount.
Taste: fruity lemon, none of the spicy flavors on other saisons.
Good summer beer. Local malt is impressive. The beer recipe needs tweaking.
More coriander and spice .

No Can date
Pours a med fizzy head with low retention, it fades like it doesn't want to be there, no lacing, hazy light gold color
Nose some cereal grain, straw, a touch doughy like, citrus, lemon zest, generic fruity esters, very light phenol spices
Taste brings more of the malt up front, grainy, a little doughy again, cereal, cracked wheat and straw, into the yeast additions, mild citrusy esters with some tree fruit as well, maybe a touch of bubblegum, very light peppery phenols, a bit of spicy hops but light, with med-lighter bitterness, and a little white wine character from the hops, mild sticky finish with a bit more spicy hop bitterness
Mouth is med to a bit lighter bod, higher prickly carb
Overall eh, it's OK, nothing really wrong with it but not too exciting and a bit bland, wish they could have fermented it a bit higher temp or use a more fun yeast, this just seems like a generic American saison
