NO can date
Pours a frothy creamy almost 2 finger head with moderate retention, plenty of soapy lacing, hazy cloudy pale orange color
Nose tons of citrus, juicy tangerine, orange cream and orange juice, some tropical mango, light creamy doughy oat and base flaked malt character
Taste brings more of the big juicy citrus, tangerine juice, orange cream, mango sherbet, etc, with a bit of a perfumey hot alcohol flavor, creamy flaked oats and base malt, little cereal, a bit pithy, with a little green spicy hop late, mild bitterness on the finish, lingering spicy green hop flavor, mango skin, orange pith
Mouth is med to a bit fuller bod, creamy soft juicy, med to a bit higher small bubble almost prickly carb, some warming almost tingly alcohol
Overall typical NEIPA, not bad overall, nice citrus and tropical fruit juices, don't really get the leftover water softening minerals or chalky characters, lots of flaked oats and creamy base, alcohol is a bit strong, and hops do get a little green spicy tasting, but otherwise good

Bought from Tavour. A nice, soft NEIPA. Must be the oats.
Stellwagen's story makes two interesting points to me.
First, NEIPA's must be easier to make compared to the AIPA (or NEIPAs have a rocketing popularity.) Stellwagen is young, but did a very nice job with Oat-verlords. Pleasant, fruity and very little bitterness in the after-taste. The way an NEIPA should taste and, IMHO, the way they increasingly are brewed. (that's the beer review.)
Second, this Corona-thing is a very mean thing to happen to a young brewery; only 18 months old and they invested so much in a taproom that may be closed for six months or longer and earning no revenue... and denying so many the community that has made these places thrive. Sad as this situation may be, Corona will throw the craft revolution back at least two years... remarks this review.

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
