No canning date (released on 5/12/21, so presumably canned within a few days of that date); consumed on 6/12/21
Pours a turbid, mango-gold body capped with multiple fingers of thick, fluffy, white foam; good head retention leaves a finger of equally dense cap, a choppy, mounded collar, and a comprehensive walling of chaotic, soapy lacing holding firmly to the walls of the glass.
Aroma opens with pithy strawberry matched by an edgy fir needles tone from the backdrop, with juicy papaya and orange pulp peaking over the middle and sweet clementine and guava comprising a firmly tropical back end.
Taste displays grassy resins and pulpy, fresh peach upfront, with subtle moss bringjng an earthy hop nuance over the mid-palate into overripe mango and distant red grapefruit; apricot skins on the back end lean into a touch of orange creamsicle on the swallow to round out the contrasts of earthy and sweet textures.
Mouthfeel shows a medium body accompanied by a subtle, moderate-light carbonation as mild resins tease a shy bitterness intermittently coming to fruition over the mid-palate before a juicy twang evolves over the back end and finish.
Another NEIPA from Funguys showing promise harmonizing the wispy dankness in tropical essences against more outright, earthy and resinous sensations; definitely some room for refinements here, but a comprehensively enjoyable hop experience overall.
