No canning date (released on 5/26/21, so presumably canned within a few days of that date); consumed on 6/16/21
Pours an opaque, bright, and glossy light gold body capped with multiple fingers of taut, fluffy, white foam; good head retention leaves a half-finger of rocky cap, a large, frothy collar, and thick, chunky rings of lacing encircling the walls of the glass.
Aroma opens with crisp grass atop clementine zest and soft black peppercorn husk imparting an herbal spice in the backdrop; tropical resins underly catty-dank peach rings over the middle as guava rinds, subtle, waxy white grape, and juicy pineapple form interwoven contrasts of dank and sweet on the back end of the bouquet.
Taste shows papaya against white grape rind upfront, with tinges of pineapple juice throughout, primarily saturating the mid-palate before Juicy Fruit gum, banana peel, and orange zest brighten a composed, more tropical finale to the profile.
Mouthfeel presents an easy medium body and pillowy, moderate carbonation, while a slight prickle builds to a low-lying, gritty bitterness over the mid-palate and softens with a juicy burst and lingering oily resins through the finish.
A clean, flowing harmony of fruit saturation and seamless transitions from the grassy to the tropical, with brief interludes in between, this is a quietly excellent and largely comprehensive NEIPA benefitting from elements across the hop spectrum.
