16 ounce can poured into a mug.
Canned 8/17/23
A straight in pour yielded a 3 finger khaki head over a very clear medium amber body. The rocky head hangs out and leaves clumps of sticky foam all over the glass. Opening whiffs are bready and grainy with hints of dry cracked corn. Herbal hops come out as the head recedes. Limited grainy malt flavor up front with herbal and zesty orange hops taking over quickly. The zesty peel bitterness is aggressive at the finish. The body is in the neighborhood of medium-weight. Carbonation is high enough to give crisp edges to the slick, lightly creamy feel.
Not a bad beer (perhaps a seasonal IPL) but definitely more hoppy and bitter than I like a Marzen to be.
