Hazy pale amber color. Poured a tall head that turned into medium sized bubbles and then dropped down to thin skiff with a ring at the edge of the glass after two minutes. High flow of tiny bubbles from the bottom of the glass. Left a few small dots of lacing.
Smells of mild barnyard and sour funk. Some light cigarette smoke. A hint of some tropical fruit, could be passionfruit. Swirling the glass kicked up a slightly stronger barnyard and a bit more smoke.
Tart with a light fruity backing. Pineapple for the most part and something else that is indistinct. Quite a bit of yeast or bacterial funk. Some malt shows up when it gets warmer. The aftertaste boosts the funk and turns to medium bitter. Some fruit shows up as the funk fades. This is a bit closer to passionfruiit.
Light tongue tingling. Quickly turned into a large bubbled foam. A bit oily. Mildly astringent.
I would have liked a more distinct passionfruit. Somehow it got buried in the funk while the pineapple rose above the funk. Ignoring the fruit aspect, this could be considered a wild ale style..
