I will admit that I am a homer and that I really try to like my local brew pubs/breweries and I really tried to like this brew pub and this beer in particular. Was never impressed with the atmosphere of the place, bartenders were not that friendly and none seemed like they wanted to beer there. I sometimes wonder how this place stays open, as they don't serve food, but it appears that a lot of Sheboyganites frequent the place often.

Now on to this beer, the beer does smell of raspberry and the ale is a golden yellow. The raspberry is not subtle and hits you in the face with the taste of tart raspberries. In a similar fashion to raspberry sherbert and the wheat does mellow it a bit.

This beer is a summer beer and my brother and I finished this growler pretty quick. One of Hop Haven's better brews.

(Served in an American pint glass)

A-Light golden yellow body with a thin white film of a head

S- Fresh raspberries soft wheat and a sour yogurt smell in the nose

T- This has a pleasant fresh raspberry flavor with a tangy almost mellow flavor. There was a slight spiciness to the finish more pepper than hops. Kind of a think flavor

M- It had a pretty light mouthfeel and a noticeable fizzy character.

D- This was a light a very mild beer. I think designed to compete with the many malternatives they sell. Not really my style but interesting to try. The fruit was a good flavor and not sugary or perfumy.
